Mr. Fundy’s Investment Club for Tweens and Teens

Mr. Fundy’s Investment Club for Tweens and Teens

(coming late summer or early fall)

There is more to investing than the stock market. Yes, iconic brands garner much of the media attention and attract a cult-like following, especially among young people. But did you know that you can make money while you sleep at night from lesser known  companies with attractive dividend-paying stocks? The world of investing also includes mutual funds, bonds, real estate, private equity and hedge funds, and precious metals, among others. Topics covered include investing basics (stock vs. mutual fund vs. bond) understanding the different between growth vs. value stocks, analyzing whether to buy or sell a stock, buying or selling real estate (and other alternative investments), and learning how our economic system works (and how to profit from it). Plus, participants will hear from industry experts and take field trips to area business to enhance their in-class learning. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive an autographed Mr. Fundy’s Financial Life Skills Playbook poster and stock certificate from a local publicly traded company to get started down the path to building lasting wealth. (Space is limited to 12 participants each cycle.)
