Mr. Fundy’s Financial Playbook for Entrepreneurs
(coming late summer or early fall)
Do you currently own and operate your business? Are you contemplating or preparing to start your own business? Well, you better master personal finance first before taking the entrepreneurial plunge. A large percentage of new businesses close their doors for one primary reason: poor cash flow management skills or failing to keep a close eye on what comes in (inflows) minus what goes out (outflows). Cash is the lifeblood of any business. Having a business and marketing plan and Internet presence are very important factors for entrepreneurial success, no doubt about it. But without money or capital (or access to it), it is just a matter of time before the horn sounds and the game ends. Participants will build their knowledge of business concepts through interactive apps, games, and activities. Topics covered include how to write a business plan, cash flow management, understanding economic forces affecting entrepreneurial success, marketing 101, and franchising, just to name a few.
